Nicola Gomez joined the FIDS community in 2020.  Before moving to Miami, Nicola taught at the Palm Beach School for Autism in Palm Beach County. She has a passion for teaching early learning students and especially enjoys enriching their young minds through play and mindful experiences. Nicola believes in developing her students’ characters to discover each child’s unique potential.  She fosters a positive learning environment that incorporates techniques such as awareness, breathing, gratitude, and movement. Nicola strives to instill confidence in each of her students and promotes the growth of their minds, bodies, and spirits. She is committed to ensuring that each child feels successful, capable, and celebrated in her classroom.

Nicola is originally from Manhattan and moved to Florida to attend college.  In her free time, she enjoys practicing yoga and meditation. She loves to cook, rollerblade, and spend time at the beach with her dog.

Nicola earned a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s degree in Exceptional Student Education from Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida.
