Marina Berberian joined the Fisher Island Day School community in 2020 after holding various teaching posts as a music teacher in local public and private schools.  She frequently performs as an accompanist, is the organist/pianist at St. Mary Armenian Church in Cooper City, and also serves as an adjudicator for the Florida Federation of Music Clubs, Miami-Dade Community College Piano Concerto Competition, and Miami-Dade County Fair competitions.

Marina moved to Miami in 1991 from Armenia.  She has raised 3 children, operates her independent Hi Key Piano Studio, and participates in South Florida as a soloist and piano accompanist.  Additionally, she is an active member in both the Miami Music Teachers’ Association and Coral Gables Music Club.

Marina earned a Bachelor ‘s Degree in Music from the Romanos Melikyan Music College and a Master’s Degree in Music Pedagogy, Solo Performance, and Chamber Music Accompaniment from the Yerevan State Conservatory in Yerevan, Armenia. In 2008, Marina attended Florida International University where she obtained her Master’s Degree in Piano Performance under the tutelage of world-renowned pianist Kemal Gekic.
