Thanksgiving Is a Time for Thanks!
We would like to thank all of the faculty for their commitment to teaching the true meaning of giving thanks with the beautiful THANK YOU cards, the performance and the feast. We would also like to thank all the parents for their participation in making the day a success.
We hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving with your family and friends.
Holiday Gift Fund for the Teachers/Staff
The Parent Teacher Association will finish the Holiday Gift Fund Collection on Friday, December 10th by 4:00 p.m.
Please understand no late collection will be accepted due to the distribution process on Wednesday, December 15th.
If you would like to give the $100 per your FIDS student which is distributed amongst teachers/staff please drop off the check/cash to Jackie.

Ti's the Season !
Breakfast with Santa is on Sunday December 12, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Once again, it will be hosted at the Vanderbilt Mansion at Fisher Island. Please purchase the tickets from Jackie. The cost is $50 per person. Santa will be the guest of honor. There will be a full breakfast buffet and a complimentary photo session with a professional photographer. There will be arts and crafts for the children.
Please be sure to purchase the tickets by December 7, 2010.
FIDS Nutcracker Suite
This will be replacing the Holiday Around the World Show on December 17, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at FIDS courtyard.
Fabiola Rogondino and Marybeth Desarle will be collaborating a special Nutcracker Suite incorporating dance and music. The performance will be followed by light snacks. Your participation would be as encouraging for our children as it was for the Thanksgiving performance.
Reaching for the Stars FIDS Annual Fund Gala on February 12, 2010. Please mark your calendar!!
The Gala Committee has begun working on the event. The main attraction is Heather McDonald. Besides performing stand up comedy, Heather McDonald is a full-time writer and story producer on the E! Channel’s top rated show – Chelsea Lately. Heather can be seen weekly on Chelsea Lately either on the round table or performing in the comedy sketches where she has impersonated celebrities.
How can you help?
You can become involved in the easiest and most important ways. Make a donation to the silent or live auction, place a family or business ad in the event journal, help underwrite the event, and of course we hope you will join us for a wonderful evening on February 12th!
• Contribute to the Auction We are seeking all types of items for our silent and live auction. Donations are fully tax deductible and will be listed in the event journal. All auction items will be displayed prominently at the event and will be highlighted throughout the evening. Examples of possible donations are attached, but we encourage you to come up with something unique, new and different as well. No reason to delay…complete the form today.
• Place an Ad in the Event Journal The Event Journal lists all live and silent auction items as well as advertisements from retailers, service providers, vendors, and families. We encourage you to take out an ad for your family or business.
• Sponsor the Event We are seeking sponsors to underwrite the event. There are exciting sponsorship opportunities that you or your company can receive for your generous donation . We encourage anyone interested in sponsoring the event (either a portion or in its entirety) to please complete the form or contact us as soon as possible so that we may include your name and company name in our communications.
• Most of all, plan on attending the Benefit Gala on February 12th!

Mr. Roy has graciously invited Admissions Directors from Carrollton on Dec 1 and Ransom on Jan 13 to acquaint themselves with the students and the FIDS community. We welcome their visit to our school.
