School Counselor

Sierra Goggins joined the Fisher Island Day School family as its Guidance Counselor in 2017. Originally from Connecticut, she served as the head facilitator of a youth empowerment organization for females ranging from 5 to 18 years old. Sierra also worked as a behavior therapist, providing educational services to various schools within the Connecticut education system. She brings a variety of instructional and counseling experience to FIDS. Sierra is passionate about fostering a nurturing environment where students can progress in the areas of academic and social-emotional learning and be exposed to college-career readiness.

During her free time, Sierra enjoys playing soccer and working out with family and friends. She can often be found exploring new environments or visiting various family members who reside out of state.

Sierra earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Central Connecticut State University. She graduated with honors from Nova Southeastern University with a Master’s of Science degree in School Counseling. During her pursuit to become a certified school counselor, she earned membership in PSI CHI International Honor Society in Psychology, American School Counseling Association (ASCA), and Florida School Counseling Association (FSCA).
