Allie Albright joined the faculty at Fisher Island Day School in 2018 after recently moving to Miami from Washington, D.C. Her varied teaching experiences include: teaching English and math in Zambia and Tanzania; working in an after-school program for autistic children; coaching soccer, basketball, and cross-country racing; teaching English as a Second Language; and tutoring with a focus on the HSPT, SSAT, Actsubject tests, and PSAT.

Allie provides a positive and inclusive environment in her classroom. She strives to instill a love of learning in her students by encouraging them to challenge themselves through critical thinking and exploration. Allie’s diverse educational background enables her to adapt to the different needs of each student, and her energy makes her classroom an enjoyable place where children can learn and become inspired.

Allie was born in Vermont and grew up in Virginia. She enjoys traveling with her family and is always looking for a new adventure. She loves the outdoors, art, sports of any kind, and her son, Bodhi.

Allie obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Richmond in International Studies with a minor in Studio Art. She completed her Masters of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University with a concentration in the field of Equity, Ethics, and Justice.
